: : : : : : : Hey i agree..there should be a discussion of football on this site...who cares if its a baseball site...most football players play baseball..and they're usually the best athletes...hows the SPSL goona be this year?? Lakes??? Bellevue?
: : : : : : What are u talking about that football/baseball players are the best athletes? The players who go the farthest are those who focus on one sport. im sure you've pist a couple of people off for saying that big guy
: : : : :
: : : : : ACTUALLY, if you read autobiographys and stuff, you will find that the big majority of stand out atheletes played more then one sport.
: : : : I feel sorry for anyone that had the chance to play high school football and didn't.
: : : Football is OK in the fall. Summer passing camps, spring football, etc.... is crap. If high school baseball clubs had the balls and told their stud players to play fall ball or forget about spring, football coaches would be in an uproar. That, in my opinion, is the problem with football. If these guys are two sport or three sport athletes, than they should be able to participate in their respective sports during that sports typical season. In the past, we have lost key guys in our lineup to CWU's football camp in July. These players were told if they did not show up in July, don't show up in the fall. They missed some big tourneys to be in an extended football practice. That is one reason baseball guys just don't like football guys.
: : : Besides, I bet there are more college baseball players in Pierce County than football. Why not practice at something you have a reasonable chance of moving on with?

: : LoL @ expecting high school football coaches to give a shit about fucking up Select baseball teams tournaments
: I know. But it's true. They would be pissed if we took their number one guy to a tourney in Florida or LA in October. Hell, even Prince is playing baseball, not football, to start his career at WSU.
Have seen Prince a few times this spring playing for Wilder in Port Angeles hitting the shit out of the ball and dominating on the mound.
Any two sport star would be nuts to choose football just because of the injury concerns.
Bigger schools like South Kitsap make it virtually impossible to play two sports because of the commitment requirements Hell they start lifting for next year the week after the current year is over.
